Bridging education opportunities through public private partnerships

Letter from the Chairman

Welcome to the Bridge Educational Foundation website.

Thank you for taking the time to visit with us and learn more about us. The Bridge Educational Foundation is a non-profit, independent, non-denominational scholarship organization established under the State's Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). This innovative Program allows businesses the opportunity to partner with organizations like Bridge to provide scholarships to assist lower income families to send their children to the schools of their choice. Recently, Bridge expanded to include an Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Foundation. The OSTC partners businesses with families to provide scholarships to students residing in Pennsylvania's poorest performing public schools.

Founded in 2005, Bridge Educational Foundation has raised more than $23 million and helped more than 15,000 families across Pennsylvania. Every day, Bridge is bridging the gap between our generous corporate partners and Pennsylvania families trying to afford the best educational opportunities for their children.

We believe Bridge is the most innovative scholarship foundation in Pennsylvania, and in order to assure the continued success of Pennsylvania's Educational Tax Credit Programs, we strive to run an efficient and hassle-free program that draws attention to the generous participation of our community and corporate partners. We do this by aggressively promoting each of our corporate partners at check presentations around the State, and offering them our knowledgeable full time staff to ensure full compliance with the EITC and OSTC laws and deadlines.

Whether you are a business looking to learn more about Pennsylvania's EITC Programs and how Bridge can help your business participate, or a family looking for assistance in providing for your child's education, we hope this website helps to guide you to us. We look forward to continuing to "bridge" the gap between our corporate partners and the families in the communities they serve.

All the best,

Pete Gleason
Chairman
