Community Service
Volunteering
The Foundation requires our scholarship families to complete community service hours. Please ask your school for a copy of the Bridge Volunteerism Form. A family has one year from the time that the scholarship award was deposited into their school's tuition account to complete the entire requirement.
Each family should return the form directly to the school upon completion of the hours. We ask that the school collect all of the forms and mail them to the Foundation in one complete package.
40
hours — K-12 scholarship
A family who receives a K-12 scholarship must complete 40 hours.
10
hours — PREK scholarship
A family who receives a PREK scholarship must complete 10 hours.
Examples of community service
At the school
Family members can help out in many ways such as coaching a sports team, working at a fundraiser, or helping in the cafeteria.
In the community
Family members may volunteer at church or help a neighbor with yard work, meals, and more.
Students may also help!
They can color a picture for the elderly at a nursing home, write a letter to troops overseas, or pick up garbage at a playground.
